This Fruity Crispy roll is just one of the many healthy snack recipes, which is crispy and fruity filling. It looks like shanghai rolls in the outside appearance but the filling on it is fruit cocktail for unique taste. I don’t know why I came up with this. All I know, this is a perfect combination of fruit cocktail and shanghai wrapper. It’s perfectly dipped into condensed milk. I usually made this recipe during Christmas while waiting for 12 midnight because this healthy snack recipes is not much heavy as other snacks. It cost a cheaper price but it’s a special touch of sweet crispy fruity recipe.
This recipe reminds me of my best friend. It was her birthday when I don’t have gift to present her. My allowance was delayed. I was about to cook a Shanghai rolls for her but I forgot to buy a ground meat and don’t have time as well. A Healthy Snack Recipes: Fruity Crispy Roll
1 teaspoon cinnamon powder
1 tablespoon orange zest
2 tablespoon brown sugar
1 fruit cocktail can, drained
- Combine all ingredients except shanghai wrapper.
- Spoon the fruit cocktail into the shanghai wrapper, roll and seal.
- Heat the frying pan and deep-fry the Fruity Crispy roll until it turns golden brown.
- Let it absorb in tissue paper.
- Serve it while hot with a condensed milk for dipping.
*Deep fry is optional and as an alternative, preheat your oven to 400 degrees. Line the baking sheet with aluminum foil, and by using a little amount of olive oil, lightly coat the rolls. Space out the rolls in the cooling rack evenly. Then bake it for about 5 to 10 minutes, or until golden brown.
This is how I made this. This is so very easy and very affordable ingredients. All you need is being creative to look more presentable and envies everyone to taste. My only suggestion is to put Fruity Crispy roll into the colorful wrapped platter surrounded by the sliced fruits with a chocolate or cream glazed. This is how I do it.
