Another lovely sweet recipe that I would like to share with you guys, these sweet recipes is delectable and it is Chocolate Coated Cherries, with this recipe it can be an extraordinary gifts for any occasions such as Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Weddings, Birthdays, Christmas and Valentine’s Day. They are easy to make and you will enjoy it. You will need the following.
Chocolate Coated Cherries Recipe
450g of powdered sugar (1 pound or 3 1/2 cups packed) + add 1 cup in case you need more)
½ cup of light corn syrup
½ cup of soft unsalted butter
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
2 jars of cocktail cherries (about 100 cherries)
12oz of semi-sweet chocolate chips
Combine the sugar, syrup, butter and vanilla using a fork or mixer until you get a play dough texture, sink and pat dry all your cherries using a paper towel. Wrap the cherries with your sugar fondant, put the cherries on a wax sheet of paper and allow cooling in the refrigerator until firm.
Melt your chocolate chips in a microwave safe bowl on defrost set and mix every 30 seconds until fully melted. Take out the chilled fondant coated cherries from your refrigerator and dip them one at a time in the melted chocolate. Arrange them on a wax paper on top of a cookie sheet and let it cool in the refrigerator for about 30 – 45 minutes or until firm.
